Things to Do in Bangkok
Sanuk (pronounced sanook) is the Thai word for fun. In Bangkok there are plenty of fun things to do for the young and the old. For families visiting the city they'll find a large aquarium, a bowling alley and movie theaters, all in central Bangkok's Siam Paragon Department Store.
Budget travelers will enjoy plenty of attractions and cultural sights that have either low or free admission fees. A ticket to Wat Po Temple is just Baht 50 and a walk through the historic settings surrounding it is of course free. And no one can overlook Bangkok's wild and crazy red light districts as the prime destination for adult entertainment. Though the city's nightlife is not exclusively related to the flesh trade there are many clubs and bars in Bangkok, rivaling those in Las Vegas or New York City. There is a good reason why Bangkok's red light districts is known as the Disney Land for adults. But there are plenty of worthwhile things to do during the day time too. Going temple hopping and exploring the city is a wonderful day time cultural experience. Or take a stroll through some of the city's best shopping malls and hectic markets. And when your feet is sore at the end of the day try one of the many foot massage parlors found everywhere. And if you dare, go for a traditional Thai massage where they will take the knots out and make you feel like rubber. |
