It's a good idea to bring light cotton or natural fabric clothing. A couple of shirts designed to wick away sweat and perspiration might be a wise choice too. Bangkok during the hot season such as April can be quite overwhelming. You will be sweating so it's a good idea to bring more shirts. You will need them for changing during mid-day after a day of exploring the city.

If you plan on visiting a lot of temples it's a good idea to bring comfortable shoes that you can easily slip on and off. Temples and historical buildings require visitors to remove their shoes before entering the building.

If you want to bring your medication into Thailand make sure you keep the pills in the original container with the label along with the prescription. Pharmacies are readily available all over Bangkok and many carry non-generic and generic brands and like most everything else in Thailand are affordable.
